For those "empathetic teens" I also make it clear that second hand smoke from cigars is just as dangerous to non-smokers as cigarette smoke is.<BR/><BR/>I love your "smell" approach, tried this recently, and it seems to have worked. A friend of one of my children was over and smelled strongly of smoke. I remarked that it smelled like our dog must have had an accident in our home, but after walking around awhile "found" the smell on her hair. Quitting is the best of all but if you can't switch to something a little safer. If you have to smoke, smoke filtered and low tar cigarettes. Its bad for you but it is better. And smokeless tobacco is the next best thing to quitting.
